As long as I can remember I have always been interested in makeup. If you follow me on Instagram then you may have seen my weekly #makeupmonday post on my story. I enlighten my followers on new products, reviews, and tutorials all revolving around makeup. Last Monday I took a different and more important route that centered around skincare.
Oasis Facebar invited me to their newest location located in Over The Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio. I received the most amazing facial and definitely needed to share with you all my entire experience!
My main inquiry on receiving the facial was to share with you all the importance on investing in skincare at early age. Skincare is the most important step prior to investing in makeup because it is the base of your entire look. The lovely ladies who work at Oasis Facebar gave me their insights on why it is important to invest in skincare.
. Sun damage prevention - Sun damage can happen to anyone at any age and investing on preventive measures to eliminate your risk is important for all skincare types
Preventive vs. Corrective - The ladies discussed in great detail how important it is for young people to invest now because it is easy to maintain preventive measures vs. corrective. As one of them put it "If you have wrinkles there's no going back from that as we can't turn back time, but we can prevent or halt the process. You're never too young for anti aging products/services."
Grocery store products - Many grocery store products are not effective. Look at the first ingredient listed and that is the major component in the product. It is better to invest in better products for their quality and actual usefulness.
The knowledge I learned from our conversation was very helpful, after all they are the experts!
My esthetician recommended based upon my problem areas of dry skin and enlarged pores to do the Enlighten treatment. This treatment helps to brighten and even out skin tone with their signature pumpkin peel. The smell of that peel was amazing and my skin felt replenished. My favorite part was when she used these cooled roller balls on my skin that aided in eliminating puffiness.
